The imitation of wisdom-adjacent outputs (coherent language, pattern recognition, confident framing) without the interior architecture that wisdom requires: discernment, moral imagination, and judgment under consequence. In HDI, artificial wisdom names the specific gap that accelerating AI systems expose: the appearance of reasoning is not reasoning, and the appearance of wisdom is not sapience.
